Carnaross Mart has grown to be one of the largest marts in Ireland and fittingly it now has been included on the Farm TV Livestock mart Network.


A recent program highlighted the issues surrounding BVD (Bovine Viral Diarrhea). Farm TV have produced a video for Animal Health Ireland on BVD and footage from that program was integrated into Ear to the Ground.


Farm TV have produced a DVD for the HSA on 'Guidence on the Safe Handling of Cattle on Farms. One section of the DVD is based on the work of famed American animal behavioral specialist Dr Temple Grandin. The DVD is very informative to Irish farmers and will help in the understanding of why livestock behave in a particular way while being moved and gathered. The DVD was officially launched at the Ploughing Championships.

Farm Skills DVD in Production
Commissioned by Teagasc, Farm TV are presently producing a skills DVD on all core farming skills.
In addition were proud to be involved in the launch of a DVD on Organic farming. Featuring the success stories of eight organic farmers, this DVD acts as an information tool to those considering taking on organic farming. It demonstrates that organic farming is a viable option and explains the rational behind becoming organic and the challenges faced in the conversion process.
